The Newfangled Four is a collegiate barbershop quartet based out of Southern California and represents the Westminster, Santa Fe Springs, and Las Vegas Chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Joey and Jake first sang Lead and Bass (respectively) together in The Harmadillos a collegiate quartet from 2011. In 2012, Joey made the switch to Tenor, and Jackson joined the roster as the quartet's new Lead. Ryan was a barbershopper from Las Vegas, singing in several local chapters, when he decided to start driving out to Anaheim, CA on Tuesday nights for Westminster Chorus rehearsals. Not long after Ryan made the move out to Oceanside, CA to become a permanent resident, the four singers formed a new quartet adding Ryan to the roster as the Baritone. The Newfangled Four had been born!! All four are active members of The Westminster Chorus, and section leaders of Boom Town, the youth barbershop chorus under the direction of Joey. In May of 2013, the quartet was fortunate enough to become the Southeast Division Quartet Champions of the Far Western District, and in July, won the International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet contest in Toronto, Canada, then in October of the same year the quartet also became the Far Western District Quartet Champions.
