Rich Brunner

Rich began singing barbershop harmony in 1978, when his high school music teacher (a member of the Dapper Dans) started a high school quartet. He joined the Sacramento Chapter in 1982, and has been a member since that time.

While attending UC Davis, where he earned his degree in Music, Rich sang with a college quartet, the ‘Davisville Student Forum’, all of whom became members of the Sacramento Chapter as well.

Rich has been a FWD Champion on three occasions, first with ‘Musician's Choice’ in 1988, with “ Freestyle ’ in 1999, and again with VocalEase in 2007. He has been an International competitor 10 times, including 5 semifinalist appearances with Freestyle , which achieved 11th place in 2003.

Rich lives in the Sacramento Valley with his wife, Pattie, and sons Luke and Griffin, and their –permanent puppy’, Skyler. He is Vice President of Systems for MAXIMUS, a large systems integration company focused on healthcare and government.
