VocalEase decided to buy matching socks and get serious about this barbershop singing thing, again, back in October 2005. The group is made up of some pretty familiar faces to the Barbershop Harmony Society. After a trial rehearsal where we sang every song we could remember (and many we didn't know at all), another "long-distance" quartet was born. Our goals are to sing musically, have fun, and to take care of our families.
Less than 2 years after our first rehearsal, VocalEase was fortunate to win the FWD Quartet Championship in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to bringing home the quartet gold that weekend, VocalEase was honored to receive the first Lloyd B. Steinkamp Standing “O” Award. This award is bestowed upon a quartet in the contest that the audience feels is the most entertaining among their peers.
